====== The Labs ======
The labs are described in the Lab Handbook (the book image). There are eight labs in total, four (Lab-A to D) on MIPS programming and four (Lab-K to N) on Verilog HDL. The Calendar page specifies the week in which a lab must be completed. Completing a lab involves performing a number of tasks that allow you to learn a topic, and correctly solving a lab exercise (LEx) that tests your understanding of that topic.
The **tasks** of each lab can be performed during the first part of your lab session. It is recommended, however, that you perform as many of them as possible //before// you go to your session as this allows to work at your own pace and leaves time for you to review and/or ask questions. It is important that you fully understand the techniques and concepts that underlie the tasks before attempting the LEx. The **LEx** is to be done in the second part of the session. You are expected to work on the LEx alone and without any help from the TA. In particular, you may not use any aids (books or notes) and you may not communicate with others by any means. Your answer to the exercise should be submitted before the end of the session and as indicated in the exercise itself. Note that your machine will auto-reboot at the end of the session, and hence, any un-submitted work will be lost. The LEx is marked on a pass/fail basis and the result will be posted on ePost. If your submission did not pass the test, you would need to re-submit it during the following lab session.
