The midterm exam will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 in BS 164 in the normal class times (1:00 – 2:30 p.m.) It is your responsibility to come on time as no extra time will be given to the late comers.

The scope of the exam will be the materials covered in the class till the due date of the midterm including the assignments and quizzes. The following sections from the text are covered.

  * Chapter 1 Introduction

  * Chapter 2 Review of DT Signal Processing and Linear Algebra (Sections 2.0 – 2.4)

  * Chapter 3 Introduction to Random Processes, Filtering and Factorization (Sections 3.1 – 3.7)

  * Chapter 4 Modeling of deterministic and stochastic signals (Sections 4.1 – 4.4, 4.6 - 4.7)

The midterm exam is close book. However, you are allowed to bring a letter size page with important formulas and transforms that you may feel necessary.
