FINAL EXAM INSTRUCTIONS
The final exam takes place tomorrow, April 8, 2008, from 7-10 PM. There are two parts to the exam: a written portion (in Curtis Lecture Halls E and F), and a lab portion (in the Prism lab in the CSE building).
Each part is 80 minutes long. There will be a 20 minute break between portions, to allow you to move from one room to the other.
Please note: During the first part of the exam, you will not be permitted to leave until 80 minutes have expired. However, you may leave early during the second part of the exam.
The class is divided as follows:
Sat Apr 5, 2008
The marks of LabTest #2 are now on ePost. Additionally, an email has been sent to each student containing the submission and a feedback. If you believe there are errors in the marking of your labtest, then follow the procedure used for LabTest #1. Your reappraisal email (with Subject Line “Labtest2 Reap”) must be sent to your instructor by Friday, April 11. After this date your mark will be considered final.
Thu Apr 3, 2008
Test 2 has been marked. The marks are on ePost. For Section Z only (with Prof. Eckford), you may pick up your test during office hours (Friday 10:30-11:30).
Test 2 solutions are here.
Reappraisal requests for test 2 will follow the same procedure as for test 1. Hand the reappraisal form and the test itself to the Dept Office and ask that they place it in your instructor's mailbox. The deadline for this is Thursday, April 10. After this date your mark will be considered final.
Thu Mar 13, 2008
Note in particular that the deadline for submitting the reappraisal form will be Thursday, March 20. After this date your mark will be considered final.
Mon Mar. 10, 08
It has come to our attention that some of the marks posted Thursday on ePost were incorrect. Specifically, the written test marks (out of 100) were correct but some of the labtest marks (out of 20) were not. We have since corrected the problem and the marks posted now are correct. We apologize for this mistake and, moreover, we have worked with the registrar office to extend the drop deadline so those who wish to drop the course because their labtest marks were incorrect, can still do so, and those who have already dropped the course, again because of incorrect labtest marks, can re-enrol. If you fall in either of these groups then you must inform your instructor of your decision (to drop or re-enrol) by email by Thursday (March the 13th) at the latest.

accounts. It is critical that each of them obtains such an account asap from the lab monitor in the Prism Lab (1st floor of CSEB). Email your instructor as soon as you do this so that your labtests can be scheduled; your ePost database can be initialized; and you can submit your PEx answers.Mon Jan. 7, 08
