The weight distribution of the course components is as follows:
- 00% - Programming Exercises PEx01-09
- 15% - Lab Test #1 [must complete PEx01-03 before this test]
- 15% - Test #1
- 15% - Lab Test #2 [must complete PEx04-07 before this test]
- 15% - Test #2
- 20% - Lab Test #3 [must complete PEx08-10 before this test]
- 20% - Test #3

Conversion from numeric to letter grade is applied to the overall mark only and in accordance with the following departmental standard:
