-On each unit (assignment, test or exam) you are provided with a ranking raw mark score (RRMS). Also, you will be provided with a mapping from your mark to a letter grade. The raw mark is merely used to rank you in the class (so, e.g. a 76 might be a C, not a B+ after the mapping is applied). The mapping will be supplied to you at the saem time that your assignment (and RRMS) is handed back to you. The final grade is computed from the RRMS and maps as shown here [[http://www.cs.yorku.ca/course_archive/2004-05/W/3311/grades/marking_policy.htm|here]],+

 +===== Re-evaluation of assignments and tests =====
 +
 +Please attach a page to your assignment or test describing your concerns and hand it to the instructor after class. The instructor will (together with the TAs) reevaluate your work and make any changes. The whole assignment or test may be reevaluated. Please provide the instructor with your written comments within **one week** of receiving your assignment or test back.

 +If you are not able to write the test due to a serious medical emergencythen you must ask your physician to fill out the standard medical form (available from the departmental office). In this case, the final exam will count as 60% of your final grade (45% + 15%).
