2009-Jan-25 Finally, there is a good prospect of getting back to the course. Once there is an official announcement from the University, please come to the class according to the announced schedule and try not to miss any lecture or lab. Every minute of class time is important this year and it is up to all of us (students and instructor alike) to ensure that no further teaching time is lost. If you promise to work hard, I assure you that the quality and coverage of the course will be kept at the highest possible level, at par with what has been achieved previously when I taught this course.

October 30, 2008: Assignment 3 has been posted under the Assignments tab. The solution to Assignment 3 is due on Nov. 10 with the quiz to be held on Nov. 17 in the class.

October 29, 2008: Your current grades may be reviewed from the grades tab. Use your CSE login and password to access the system when prompted.

October 06, 2008: Oct. 11 being the thanksgiving holiday, Assignment 2 is due on Oct. 13.

October 06, 2008: Please note the following correction in the pdf of X and Y in Problem 2 of Assignment 2

P_X(ω) = P_Y(ω) = λ exp(-λω) U(ω)

This correction has been made in the statement of the problem in the latest uploaded copy of the Assignment.

September 25, 2008: Solution to Assignment 1 has been posted under the Assignments tab.

September 23, 2008: Please check this link for an example on evaluating the outpuit of a system. The same problem is solved using convolution in the time domain, transfer function in the DTFT domain, and transfer function in the Z-domain.

September 16, 2008: Assignment 1 has been posted. It is due next week on Sept. 24, 2008 in the class. The quiz on the assignment will be held a week later.
