-The course lays the conceptual foundation of object-oriented programming. It covers delegation and contracts, encapsulation and API programming, aggregation and the collections framework, inheritance and polymorphism, all from the client's perspective.
+This course continues an introduction to computer programming within the context of
+image, sound and interaction, subsequent to CSE1710 3.0. The student’s foundation
+in basic programming will serve as a platform from which to explore the use of diverse
