== Why do you need WebFAS? ==
  * You can use MATLAB from home by remotely [[https://webfas.yorku.ca/Citrix/WEBFASWeb/|login to WebFAS]]
== How to access WebFAS from your home computer or laptop? ==
  * Using WebFAS requires an [[http://computing.yorku.ca/students/home/passwords-passport-york-access/|Passport York]] account.
  * If you haven't done so, you can active your Passport York account at [[https://passportyork.yorku.ca/ppylogin/ppylogin?signup=1|Passport York Sign-Up for New Students]]
  * Login to WebFAS at [[https://webfas.yorku.ca/Citrix/WEBFASWeb/|]] with your Passport York account user name and password
    - If it is the first time you use WebFAS on your computer, you will be prompt to install a client (Citrix Receiver). Follow the on screen instructions to complete the installation.
    - If you already have the client installed on your computer, you will see icons of some applications (such as MSWord 2010, AdobeAcrobat) on your browser. If you do not see Matlab, click on the "+" sign on the left side of your browser and you will see "All Apps". Click on "All Apps", you will see the list of application programs that you can use on WebFAS. Select "Matlab R2012a". The MATLAB icon (Matlab R2012a) will appear in the center of your browser. Click "Matlab R2012a" to launch MATLAB. Note that you only need to add "Matlab R2012a" icon from the "All Apps" list to your browser once. Once the MATLAB icon is placed on your browser, each time you log into WebFAS, the MATLAB icon will appear on the center of your browser for you to launch MATLAB.
