====== CSE1570: Introduction to Computing for Psychology ======

Welcome to CSE1570 for Winter 2013. Materials, instructions, and notices for the course will accumulate here over the semester.

===== Description  =====

This course introduces students to computer-based problem solving techniques that can be used to approach problems in Psychology such as the design of stimulus-response experiments and the capture and simple analysis of data from a variety of experimental contexts.
The course will focus on MATLAB, a powerful and user-friendly computer programming language and environment. MATLAB can be used for math computations, data analysis and processing, visualization and graphics, and so on. 

The course is for students with little or no background in computer programming but who wish to avail themselves of the power that computer programming affords. Once you learn how to program, you can analyze and view data, build and run your own experiments, and build and run your own computational models. 


===== Lecture and Lab Times =====

The class will meet on both Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30am - 1:00pm. The first class will be held in TEL 0014. Later classes will be held in a teaching lab in TEL 2027 & 2032, where we will have both lectures and lab exercises.
