Remember Quiz 2 is on this Thurs. (Oct. 15) at the end of class. Here's the formulas (practically the same as previous quiz). As usual quiz covers Assig. 2 (not all the questions though, for the quiz I'll only consider questions 1-17 inclusive except for question 12) and stuff we talked about in class.

Assignment 1 solutions posted (In Assignments menu). Remember, Quiz 1 is this Thurs. Sept. 24. Questions related to Assignment and also material discussed in class over the last couple of weeks. Assignment 1 covered more than what we have dealt in class yet so for Quiz 1 only questions along the lines of 1,2,3,4,5,6,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 would be valid (plus stuff covered in class as mentioned above).

Here are the formulas I'll be giving you for Quiz 1 (they will be right on the quiz worksheet, please do not bring your own copy, the quiz will be closed book). BRING YOUR CALCULATOR!!!! to the quiz. I will not allow sharing of calculators.

York is running a series of extra-curricular programming contests, starting with one on Friday, September 18 from 16:30 to 18:30 in Lassonde 1004. All are welcome. Come out for fun and to hone your skills. For more information see www.cse.yorku.ca/acm . Students who do well in the local contests will get the opportunity to represent York at the regional competition on October 31.

Lab 1 is posted (in Labs menu) and a few lecture Handouts (in Handouts menu) have been posted as well.
