====== Policies ====== Here, you can list specific course policies. ===== Academic Dishonesty ===== When a piece of work is submitted by a student it is expected that all unquoted and uncited ideas and text are original to the student. Uncited and unquoted text, diagrams, etc., which are not original to the student, and which the student presents as their own work is considered academically dishonest.([[http://www.cse.yorku.ca/admin/coscOnAcadHonesty.html|Academic Honesty Guidelines ]]) For more information on Academic Dishonesty, click [[http://www.cse.yorku.ca/admin/coscOnAcadHonesty.html|here]]. ===== Missing deadlines ===== * If you miss the deadline for assignments, a 20% penalty is applied for each day. After 5 days your grade will be automatically an F. * If you miss the midterm test, your grade will be automatically F unless the official [[https://wiki.eecs.yorku.ca/course_archive/2015-16/W/3311/_media/attending_physician_statement.pdf|attending physician's statement]] is filled out and the physician certifies that you were unable to write due to illness at the time of the test. You must present the Physician's statement to the instructor the first lecture after the test or when you're back at school. Alternative arrangements for the test will then be made. * Unless in hospital, you are required to submit your assignments on time as this work was anounced in advance. * If you miss the exam you will also be required to hand in a physician's statement. Alternative exam time has to be aranged through the office! ===== Regrading ===== If you want your assignment, test or project regraded, then within ONE week of receiving the feedback do the following: * Write out precisely and concisely your concerns. * Staple your written concerns to your feedback document * Return the above to the instructor within one week of receiving your feedback. NOTE: As a result og regrading your grade can be higher or lower.
