How to Enrol

Enrolment Procedure for EECS 4080/4088/4090/4480

  1. Read the course descriptions to determine your eligibility. Please note the course prerequisites and exclusions. These can be found under Course Descriptions.
  2. Identify both a project and a project supervisor. A list of some available projects for the term appears on the Archive of Proposed Projects by Years and Terms page. If you identify a project from this list, you can contact the corresponding faculty member to discuss your fit to the project and whether that faculty member is willing to act as the supervisor for your work on that project. Alternatively, you may work in collaboration with a department faculty member to develop a project that is not currently listed. A list of faculty members can be found on the departmental web site [http://www.eecs.yorku.ca]. If you need help identifying potential supervisors for a project you have in mind, contact the course coordinator.
  3. Develop a contract. In close collaboration with your supervisor, develop a document that outlines the project's description, the background requirements, project readings, project deliverables, and project evaluation. See the Project Contract Template.
  4. Submit the project contract to your faculty member supervisor, and then to the course coordinator for approval before the deadline (see dates).
  5. Project contracts must be agreed to by the student, project supervisor and course coordinator. The student should send the final contract by email to the course coordinator, with a cc to the project supervisor.
  6. Once the contract is signed by all parties, the student will be authorized to enrol using the usual online enrolment system.
