The DokuWiki YorkU template tries to attain a common look and feel across CSE wiki sites and the rest of the York web. The YorkU template aims to display Wiki pages according to the York University web guidelines. These guidelines try to ensure that a web page when maximized on a machine with 640×480 resolution will show up without scrolling left/right.
Two additional “features” were added to the YorkU template as follows:
By default, DokuWiki headlines are not numbered. As a result, when Wiki documents are printed, the table of contents is omitted. However, with the addition of the numbered headline plugin, printing the table of contents may be desirable to some users. As a result, you may insert the following code into any page to make that pages TOC printable:
~~PRINTTOC~~
There must be a space before the code above for it to be acted upon.
At this time, changing the location of the table of contents on a page is not possible.
By default, DokuWiki quotes are printed both on the Wiki page, and when a Wiki page is printed. Quotes could be used for a discussion like this:
Sara Smith wrote:Bob Smith wrote:
Bobs words.Sarah's words go here.
They can continue on to the next line.
Sometimes, users may wish to omit quotes from the printed output of the page. In order to do this, insert the following code anywhere into the wiki page:
~~PRINTNOQUOTES~~
There must be a space before the code above for it to be acted upon.
Please note – the quotes are still printable through other means, but the default print option will not include them.
