====== PRISM LABS ====== * LAS1002 Prism Teaching Lab (PTL): * LAS1004 Generalized Signal Processing (GSP) Lab: * LAS1006 Eshrat Arjomandi (EA) Lab: === Lab Safety === For all the Engineering labs, a Health and Safety presentation is made, during the first lab of the term. Here the students are made aware of: \\ - University's safety policies and procedures \\ - Available Health, Safety and Well-being resources, available to students on campus \\ - Expectations from them, regarding safe working in the labs \\ === University Health and Safety Resources === - For more information on University's **//Health, Safety and Well-being//**, visit this page. \\ - For information on University's Phased Return to Campus, during COVID-19, **//YU Better Together//** please check out this link. === Technical Resources === == EECS3201 / EECS 3216 Digital Design and Digital System Courses == **Note:** The following two tutorials are oriented towards **WindowsOS**. For **MacOS** see the next section. __Installing Software and Drivers__\\ This tutorial describes how to install Intel (Altera) Quartus Software, ModelSim, fpga Devices, related Drivers and to Verify your setup The tutorial is specifically for **//Quartus version 20.1 and for Max 10 family//** of FPGA devices. You would have to alter the steps, if using a different version and device family. To download the tutorial, click __ModelSim Simulator__\\ This tutorial explains running **//ModelSim simulator//**, from within the Quartus project, to simulate and verify your Digital Design. Download the tutorial \\ Click on this for the verilog files used in this tutorial. **__//Steps for MacOS//__** Running Quartus and ModelSim on MacOS is __Not__ natively supported. However there are few work-arounds, which have been tried and tested. \\ \\ Follow the steps in this to correctly install and setup Quartus and Modelsim when using a MacOS computer. __Interactive Tutorials__\\ * Check out this external link from Aldec, for Interactive Tutorials on VHDL and Verilog. **Note:** You will be required to 'Register' prior to downloading.\\ * A good series of short videos, by Cadence Design, on SystemVerilog can be found on YouTube
