• Quizzes: 5% (best 5 out of 6, 1% each)
• Labs: 30% (5% each)
• Midterm: 25%
• Final exam: 40%

If you need to miss a quiz, lab demonstration, or the midterm exam, please let the instructor know as soon as possible. Documentary evidence may be required (e.g., doctor's note for illness).

If you need to miss the final exam, please let the instructor know as soon as possible. According to CSE department policy, you will need to request deferred standing. Documentary evidence is required. If you miss the final exam due to illness, your doctor must complete the “Attending Physician's Statement” from the petitions package (available on the Registrar's Office web site).

<hi>IMPORTANT:</hi> If you feel ill on exam day, DO NOT attempt to write the exam. If you attempt the exam and do not finish due to illness, your request for deferred standing will require a petition.
