Announcements

New announcements will be posted here in reverse chronological order.

Wed May 13, 09

  • Next Monday is a Holiday. In order to make up for its make-up lab session, additional workstations have been allocated in Prism so the Wed May 20 session can accommodate students from both sessions. The Wed session will operate as usual, i.e. the first 90 minutes to do the tasks and seek help if needed and the next 70 minutes to do the lab exercise. In light of this extra workstation allocation, the announcement below has been deleted.

Wed May 13, 09

  • Next Monday is a Holiday. In order to make up for its make-up lab session, we will use the first 90 min of next Wed session. Seating priority on Wed May 20 will be given to Mon students between 10:00 and 11:30, and to Wed students between 11:30 and 13:00.

Mon Apr 27, 09

  • Due to a fire alarm, some students were not able to submit their Lab exercise today. The missed submission will not appear as zero on ePost, and those students can submit the exercise during any future lab session, on Mondays or (space permitting) on Wednesdays.

Tue Apr 21, 09

  • The marks of Test #1 are now on ePost (under course 2021 not 2021L). The papers will be returned in class tomorrow along with details re the marking scheme, the correct answers, and the reappraisal procedure.

Fri Apr 17, 09

  • The Department will conduct its regular course evaluation during the first 15 min of lecture on Wed May 6. The evaluation of the Lab component will be done at 10 am on Mon May 4 and Wed May 6.

Wed Apr 8, 09

  • The calendar has two new links: one re the make-up labs and one re the written test next week.

Tue Apr 7, 09

  • The test next Monday will be held in VH-D, not in the regular lecture hall.

Thu Mar 19, 09

  • Lab-B has been posted.

Wed Mar 17, 09

  • Check out the York programming contests. The first contest of the Winter term will take place on Friday March 20, 15:00-17:00 in CSEB 1006. Check out also this facebook group.

Thu Mar 13, 09

  • The Labs page has been created. It gives you an overview of what to expect during the lab sessions that will start next week. Note in particular that LabA is now posted (accessible from the Labs page). Note also that no notes, books, or any other aids are allowed during the second half of the lab session. If you feel you need to write down some notes then do so in a text file and save it (the machines will not reboot between the two halves).

Tue Mar 10, 09

  • A few students do not have a cs account yet. It is critical that they obtain such an account (by seeing the monitor on duty in Prism) or else they will not be able to take LabA next week.

Wed Mar 4, 09

  • Welcome to CSE2021!
