Announcements

New announcements will be posted here in reverse chronological order.

Sat Apr 18, 10

  • The marks of the Test #3 and the overall letter grades are now on ePost (appearing as “WrittenTest” and “_Grade”). If you suspect errors in your grade, take one of the following actions depending on the type of error: If you see an arithmetic error (i.e. the component marks do not add up to the shown letter grade according to their weights) then email me. On the other hand if you suspect an error in the marking of your Test #3 then wait until the test papers are in the Department Office (around the third week of May) and then request a copy of your paper from the Dept Office and, if needed, submit a petition to the Dept Office.

Wed Apr 7, 10

  • The marks of Lab Test #2 are now on ePost. The papers will be returned during the written test. The average was 86%. Great job! And congratulations to the three who got 100%. See the Policies page for the procedure to follow in case there is a need to reappraise.

Sun Apr 4, 10

  • The written test will be held 2:00-4:00 pm on Thu April 8 in VH-2000. Note that its duration is two hours, not three. This is an open-book test so you can bring textbooks, notebooks, printouts, or any other paper-based material–a laptop is thus not allowed. You can write your answers in pen or pencil.

Fri Mar 12, 10

  • I have just received this posting for an Internship position for students in the Computer Security Program.

Thu Mar 4, 10

  • The Departmental Course Evaluation will be conducted Mon Mar 15.

Wed Feb 17, 10

Mon Feb 8, 10

Mon Jan 6, 10

  • I am not feeling well today and cannot come to the lab session. Nevertheless, I like you to work on Lab1 so I'm attaching it below. You don't need to go to CSEB1004 for this; you can do the problems from home or from any machine. It is recommended that you don't do it in a labtest mode machine so that you can access your home directrory and save the file rather than submit it. I will complete the home page of the course so it will be ready by Monday. I apologize for te cancellation. Here is the Lab and here is a text file to clean and test with.

Mon Jan 4, 10
