-The labs are described in the Lab Handbook (the book image). There are eight labs in total, four (Lab-A to Lab-D) on assembly/machine language programming and four (Lab-K to Lab-N) on hardware design. The Calendar page specifies the week during which the lab must be completed. Completing a lab means performing a number of **//tasks//** that allow you to learn a topic, and solving a **//lab exercise (LEx)//** that tests your understanding of that topic.
-
-The **tasks** of each lab are specified in the Handbook and can be performed them during the first half of your lab session. It is recommended, however, that you perform as many of them as possible before you go to your lab session as this allows to work at your own pace and leaves time for you to review and/or ask questions during the first half to ensure that you fully understand all the steps and the underlying concepts.
-
-At the end of the first half, your machine will give a warning and ask you to logout. The machine will then reboot in //LabTest// mode, that is, Linux (not Windows), no home-directory, and no Internet.
-
-The **LEx** is to be done during the second half of the lab session. In that half you are expected to work alone and without any help from the TA. In particular, you may not use any aids (books or notes) and you may not communicate with others by any means. Your answer to the exercise should be submitted before the end of the second half and as indicated in the exercise itself. Note that your machine will reboot at the end of the second half, and hence, any un-submitted work will be lost.
-
-The LEx is marked on a pass/fail basis. If your submission did not pass the test, you would need to re-submit it.
