Grades

The weight distribution of the course components is as follows:

  • 25% - Labs
  • 15% - Quizzes (top 3 of your 4 quiz marks will be counted)
  • 20% - Midterm
  • 40% - Final Exam

You can view your marks on the course moodle page.

Remarking Policy:

Assessments prior to final exam: After it is returned to the class as a whole, you have up to one week to re-submit your work (tests, labs, assignments, etc.) for re-assessment. Attach a written form to your work that clearly and logically outlines where you think the marking was mistaken. Please beware that the entire body of the re-submitted work may be remarked and that its mark may become higher, lower, or unchanged.

Final Exam: Wait until you get your official grade by regular mail from York (nothing can be done before that). Within three weeks of receiving them, go to LAS-1003 and request a copy of your final exam. If you spot errors, either in marking, or in addition, or in the overall grade computation, petition in writing as described above.
