-Loaner laptops are available from PRISM Lab (LAS1006).  In order to borrow a laptop, you must be enrolled in an EECS course for which laptop loaning has been granted.  Please present your YU-card to the lab monitor in LAS1006 during regular PRISM hours.  **The laptop must be returned to PRISM lab before closing, or your laptop borrowing privileges will be revoked.**  Please note that by using the laptop, you accept responsibility for loss or damage.

-The laptop is installed with CentOS 7, and mirrors the setup of the workstations in our William Small Centre labs (WSC106 and WSC108).  Software includes:

-  * Android Studio 
-  * Atom 
-  * Bluefish Editor 
-  * Eclipse 
-  * Emacs 
-  * Firefox 
-  * GIMP 
-  * Inkscape 
-  * IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition 
-  * LibreOffice 
-  * Matlab (including all toolboxes from YorkU site license) 
-  * Pulse Secure (YorkVPN client) 
-  * QtSpim 
-  * TigerVNC Viewer 
-  * Visual Studio Code

-When you turn on the laptop, it will boot the operating system.  Click on "Default User" to login. You will be prompted to login to AirYorkPLUS.  After you login, any updates to the laptop will be downloaded and installed automatically.

-Each time you login to the laptop, the home directory and all user writable directories will be re-initialized to a default state.  Any previously changed files will be replaced. Please make sure to save your files to a USB key prior to shutting down.

-When you're finished using the laptop, simply close the lid, and the machine will shutdown automatically.
