Nov 13 2018 Assignment 3. Computing subbands recursively results in a 40% reduction in computation. However this does come at the expense of a more rapid erosion of the 'valid' region of the image. This results from the sub-additive nature of the Gaussian filter space constants/window sizes over composition.

Oct 16 2018 Important: There was an error in Assignment 2 which affects Question 1 and Question 2d. The equation I gave you for h( r ) is wrong. Please download a fresh copy of the assignment, which has the corrections. I have also updated the slides affected in Lecture 3.2 (now slides 38 and 39). My apologies for this error.
