Labtest mode provides a secure computing environment where students have access to the software on our systems, a single course directory, and a course labtest web site, but lose access to all of the files in their home directory, sending and receiving e-mail, printing, the external web, USB key/cdrom/floppy access, existing temporary files stored on the machine, and all access to the Internet including access to other EECS machines. It is an ideal in-lab test environment. Students can still use the submit command to submit their completed work.
