CentOS upgrade from 6 to 7 Summer 2017
We are upgrading all our current systems running CentOS6 to CentOS7 by Fall 2017.
We will upgrade host indigo for users to start there This is a major change and we would like our user community to start working on CentOS 7 . This way you can inform us if there are any applications that you are currently using does not work on CentOS7.
This is a major release but most of the changes will affect administrative commands.
The user community will notice that the default window manager is now changed from “xfce” to “gnome”.
We will set up a FAQ here so that users can send us any issues they run into and we can add the resolutions here
For indigo, there is no window manager to deal with but you can test your applications
at least. For CMC users , it is important for you to test the CentOS 7 platform
to make your your scripts still works
