MacOS Print to EECS Network
Map your EECS home folder:
- You need to map your network drives first:
https://wiki.eecs.yorku.ca/dept/tdb/printers:print-mac:automatically_connect_drives_on_login - If you were able to print on your MAC and recently updated your OS and can't print, please contact tech@eecs.yorku.ca for help.
Add EECS Network Printers to MAC:
- From the Apple Menu, select System Preferences
- Click “Printers and Scanners” icon
- On the popup display(at the bottom left), Click “ + ” button to add printer
- A popup window will appear that has a printer configuration toolbar, check to see if toolbar has “Advance” icon, if yes skip to Step 6
- To add “Advance” icon in toolbar:
Right click/double tap trackpad with two fingers on the "Search" field-> choose "Customize Toolbar" -> A new window will pop up -> Drag "Advance" icon to the outside Toolbar -> Click Done
- Click “Advance icon, fill in require field and click “Add”:
Type: Windows printer via spoolss URL: smb://pcserver.eecs.yorku.ca/<printer queue name> Name: (Type in the same name as printer queue name) Use: Generic PostScript Driver (For las1012, prt2, las 3031 and brg303 use Ricoh's specific driver below: http://support.ricoh.com/bb/html/dr_ut_e/re2/model/sp8400dn/sp8400dn.htm )
- Check “Duplex Printing Unit” and Click Ok
