Printer setup on Windows 10
Instructions to add new EECS Network Printer:
- Connect to your EECS home directory:
Click Start -> Run -> \\pcserver\homes -> Enter EECS username/ password and press Enter
- Download and run the printer port registry file (Choose Yes when asked to import file into registry). ports.reg.txt (rename file to 'ports.reg')
- Download printer driver and extract to temporary location. https://wiki.eecs.yorku.ca/dept/tdb/printers:printers:start
- Connect to shared printer:
Click Start -> Run -> \\pcserver), double click the "Printer queue name" that you like to add

- Prompt will say that “No driver found”, press Ok → Have Disk → Choose temporary location that you extracted the printer drive in Step 3
- Choose the correct printer model from the list (based on the print queue). https://wiki.eecs.yorku.ca/dept/tdb/printers:printers:start
- Restart computer
Instructions to update driver for EECS Network Printer:
- Connect to your EECS home directory (Start → Run → Type \\pcserver\homes → type in your EECS username and password and press Enter)
- Download printer driver and extract to temporary location. https://wiki.eecs.yorku.ca/dept/tdb/printers:printers:start
- Start → type “Devices and Printer” then Enter
- Right click on Printer queue name (eg. prt2-col) → choose Printer Properties
- Click “Advance” tab → New Driver → Next → Have Disk → Choose temporary location that you extracted the printer drive in Step 2

- Click “Finsh” → Ok
