Printer setup on Windows 7
Instructions to add new EECS Network Printer:
- Connect to your EECS home directory:
Click Start -> Run -> type \\pcserver\homes -> Enter EECS username/ password and press Enter
- Run the printer port registry file located
\\pcserver\research-download\eecs-prt-drivers\ports.reg
- Choose the correct printer model from the list (based on the print queue) and copy the Windows driver path.

Click Start -> Run -> \\pcserver, double click the "Printer queue name" that you like to add.
- Prompt will say that “No driver found”.
Click OK -> Have Disk -> Paste the driver path from Step 3. Click OK.
- Choose the printer make and model and Click OK.
- Restart computer

- Connect to your EECS home directory:

Click Start -> type/choose "Devices and Printer" then Enter Right click on Printer queue name (eg. prt2-col) -> choose Printer Properties Click "Advance" tab -> New Driver -> Next -> Have Disk -> Paste the driver path from Step 3. Click OK.
- Choose the printer make and model and Click OK.
- Restart computer
