The Department provides a compute server, navy.eecs.yorku.ca, which can be used by our faculty and graduate students for running compute intensive jobs. The compute server has 2 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5660 processors @ 2.80GHz and 16GB memory.

The compute server is a shared resource. Please ensure that your jobs do not make the system unusable by others. Please see the manual page for the nice(1) command to adjust the scheduling priority of your job. The tech team reserves the right to terminate jobs without notice if the system is unusable by others.

If your research requires specific compute intensive power please consult with the tech team.

Please do not run compute intensive jobs on our time sharing server, indigo.
