Printer Setup on Windows 7
Instructions to add new EECS Network Printer:
- Connect to your EECS home directory:
Click Start -> Run -> type \\pcserver1\homes -> Enter EECS username/ password and press Enter
- Copy to desktop and run the printer port registry file located (Admin priv): (say yes to import registry)
\\pcserver1\research-download\eecs-prt-drivers\ports.reg
- Choose the correct printer model from the list (based on the print queue) and copy the Windows driver path.

Click Start -> Run -> \\pcserver1, double click the Printer queue name that you like to add (eg. prt2-col).
- Prompt will say that “No driver found”.
Click OK -> Have Disk -> Paste the driver path from Step 3. Click OK.
- Choose the printer make and model and Click OK.
- Restart computer

Click Start -> type/choose "Devices and Printer" then Enter Right click on Printer queue name (eg. prt2-col) -> choose "Printer Properties" Click "Advance" tab -> New Driver -> Next -> Have Disk -> Paste the driver path from Step 3. Click OK. -> Choose the printer make and model and Click OK.
